Supervisor of Land Development

An immediate opening is available for a Supervisor to lead the Land Development Department. The Land Development Department reviews, coordinates, and supports design and construction for developer-built and County projects, with a focus on customer service for both internal and external customers. The Supervisor will manage the Land Development team related to workload and project review with a focus on ensuring conformance with applicable standards, policies, procedures, and governing laws. WASTEWATER PLANT OPERATOR OR APPRENTICE

Loudoun Water has an immediate opening for a Wastewater Plant Operator or Wastewater Plant Operator Apprentice at the Broad Run Water Reclamation Facility (BRWRF) located in Ashburn, VA. The BRWRF is a 16.5 MGD state-of-the-art facility utilizing biological nutrient removal, membrane filtration, carbon absorption, and ultra-violet disinfection treatment to protect drinking water sources. The facility is staffed 24-hours per day, 7-days per week. The selected Operator or Apprentice will work on a team to ensure the facility is continuously operational and complies with regulatory permits. Specifically, the Operator or Apprentice will monitor plant performance and treatment equipment using SCADA, perform sampling and laboratory analyses, operate pumps and other equipment, and perform house-cleaning tasks to maintain the WRF buildings. The Operator or Apprentice will also be expected to collect and record plant performance information in WIMS and Excel, troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and prepare maintenance work order requests. Minimum requirements: High school diploma or GED preferably including basic mathematics and science courses.
