As a Behavior Technician at Applied Behavioral Services, you will provide structured behavioral treatment to children with autism and related developmental needs. This is not a traditional daycare, babysitting, or classroom aide position. Your work will be guided by an individualized treatment plan developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, or BCBA. You will be expected to follow that plan consistently, collect accurate data, respond professionally to challenging behavior, and use evidence-based strategies to help each student develop communication, social, behavioral, and independent-living skills. Arranges for coverage when not available including providing a detailed report to the covering clinician and obtaining a report from the covering clinician. 15. Manages palliative and hospice clinicians as well as ancillary staff to assure program and agency goals are met. 16. Utilizes team building skills and problem solving to promote optimal team performance and effectiveness. Directs and ensures completion of orientation of new staff. 17. Assesses staff education needs, provides training, provides day-to-day supervision, delegates appropriately, and provides constructive feedback and takes disciplinary action to members of the team when necessary. 18. Evaluates palliative care and hospice staff according to policies, procedures and position requirements. When appropriate, recommends merit increases and staff assignment according to staff performance. 19.
