The Electrical Foreman ensures that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and lead a team of electrical technicians and electricians, ensuring effective performance and safety compliance. Plan, schedule, and coordinate electrical maintenance and repair work to minimize downtime and disruptions. Oversee the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies. Provide technical guidance and support to team members, resolving complex electrical issues as needed. Monitor and inspect work to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress. Collaborate with other departments and project managers to coordinate electrical work with other trades and project activities. Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure that all team members adhere to safety protocols and procedures. Review and approve work orders, job plans, and material requisitions. Train and mentor junior electricians and technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge. Respond to emergency electrical issues and provide on-call support as required. Ensure proper maintenance and inventory of tools, equipment, and materials. Education: High School Diploma or GED; completion of an electrical apprenticeship or technical training program preferred. Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician) preferred. Experience: 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role, preferably within the industrial maintenance or related industry. Experience with electrical systems, troubleshooting, and project management. Knowledge Skills & Abilities: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in electrical tools, equipment, and diagnostic techniques. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively. Work Location and Travel: Primarily based at the company’s operational sites with occasional travel to other locations as needed for project oversight and coordination. Work Environment: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary (Monday - Sunday with some overnight work) and overtime is frequently required. This position is safety sensitive in nature, which means employees perform duties so fraught with risks of injury to self or others, or environmental injury, that even a momentary lapse of concentration or attention can have disastrous consequences. The working environment is often in harsh elements (hot/humid and/or cold temperatures, rain, etc.) Industrial environments often have exposure to hazardous chemicals, moving heavy equipment, and other safety-sensitive hazards/risks.
