To establish, coordinate, and manage Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner education and training; orientation, continuing education, and clinical competency validation. Works within the community to educate on Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner program and violence prevention. Provide patient care to included forensic examination and collection of evidence. Provides appropriate, age-specific, patient and family education as it relates to the Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Program. Responsible for coordinating and maintaining Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner On-Call schedules. Maintains knowledge of current clinical concepts and practices. Maintains knowledge regulatory standards, requirements and assists in facilitation of implementation and compliance to same. Provides on-call availability for the Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Program. Works collaboratively with law enforcement, Attorney General’s Office and local victims’ services. Completes Peer Review of Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner cases and leads monthly Peer Review/Case study conference in collaboration with the Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Medical Director. Works clinically as an Emergency Room Nurse adhering to all competencies and requirements for this portion of their FTE. Coordinates and leads staff meetings for Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
