This is a true job shop — no production lines, no running the same part all shift. You'll set up and run a wide variety of work, from one-off prototypes to short-run batches of 20–50 pieces, on a lathe fleet that ranges from a 12" Mori Seiki up to a 36" Doosan Puma 700, including live-tooling lathes with sub-spindle and Y-axis. The shop also runs CNC vertical machining centers (Hyundai-Kia VX series, Kitamura 4XD) for the mill side of the work, with programming support available through Mastercam and AutoCAD. What We're Looking For Required: Strong job shop or custom machining experience Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T Proficiency in setup, tooling, offsets, and running CNC lathes Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and inspect your own work A "figure it out" attitude — ownership and pride in precision work Preferred: Milling experience in addition to lathe work Pay, Benefits and Schedule Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour Job Type: Full-time About Wagner Machine, Inc. and How to Apply Wagner Machine, Inc. has been a family-owned, veteran-led custom machining and fabrication shop in Norton, Ohio — just west of Akron — since 1957.
