Reviews shop drawings, RFI’s, Contractor change orders, performs site visits and punch-lists with limited supervision to verify that designs are being implemented accurately. Establishes design criteria from the project proposal and assembles basis of design documents. Assembles a complete set of contract documents for their trade including the lay out main equipment rooms, closets, shafts, risers, etc. Assists in establishing an efficient project schedule for his/her project team that ensures appropriate use of resources while adhering to deadlines. ICC Certification to handle, install, and test both underground and above-ground piping preferred. Duties and Responsibilities The Fuel Superintendent possessing the education and experience listed above performs the following: Develop a schedule and cost-effective plan for the completion of an assigned project. Collaborate with Project Manager to create pre construction estimates and budgets for materials and labor. Lays out full-scale drawing of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment. Coordinating and scheduling the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate. Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness; prepares and provided progress reports to owners and engineers; makes recommendations for necessary modifications. Obtains required permits and licenses, executes construction contacts according to terms of the agreement. Monitors budget throughout the project and communicates any variances as they occur. Maintains any record related to job costs and inventory, sends to appropriate party. Cuts, threads, and hammers pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders. Modifies, cleans, and maintains pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment, following specifications and using hand and power tools.
