Salary: $25 - $45 per hour A bit about us: We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled HVAC Controls Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and developing submittal packages and owner’s manuals for Building Automation Systems (BAS). You'll play a key role in ensuring system designs meet performance, operational, and client expectations—working closely with sales teams, project managers, and technicians throughout the project lifecycle. Job Details Responsibilties: Design DDC control panels, wiring schematics, and system interfaces to control HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Develop sequences of operation and system layouts tailored to project specifications. Create electrical wiring diagrams and floorplan graphics for user interfaces. Select appropriate control system components and compile project bill of materials (BOM). Collaborate with Project Managers and Control Technicians to prepare submittal packages and owner’s manuals. Review contract plans, specifications, and budgets with project stakeholders. Provide documentation support to contractors and clients throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate schedules and provide regular updates to internal teams to ensure project milestones are met. Ensure all documentation aligns with project deadlines and quality standards. Qualifications: Strong time management and organizational skills Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail Team player with excellent communication skills Customer-focused approach Ability to troubleshoot and adapt to changing project needs Valid driver’s license Ability to pass a background check Nice to have: 1 years of experience in HVAC, electrical systems, PLCs, or building automation Associate degree in HVAC, Electrical, Drafting, or Engineering (or equivalent technical education) Experience with Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Microsoft Visio, and Adobe Illustrator Interested in hearing more?
