We are a drama-free office with a close-knit, family-style atmosphere. We work hard, treat each other well, and value people who are positive, professional, and enjoyable to work with. This position is designed for an experienced attorney who is comfortable independently handling litigation, making strategic case decisions, taking depositions, working with experts, negotiating significant claims, and trying cases to a jury. Our practice consists primarily of motor vehicle collision cases, including a substantial number of commercial vehicle and trucking matters. The attorney will also occasionally handle premises liability, workplace injury/nonsubscriber, and other serious personal injury cases. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $120,000 depending on experience In addition to base salary, the position includes meaningful performance-based bonuses. Docket & Responsibilities The anticipated docket is approximately 30–65 active cases, depending upon the size and complexity of the matters being handled. Approximately half of the attorney's docket is expected to be in active litigation at any given time. Managing personal injury cases through litigation, settlement, or trial Developing case strategy and evaluating liability and damages Drafting and responding to written discovery Taking and defending fact and expert witness depositions Preparing and arguing motions Retaining, preparing, and working with expert witnesses Conducting mediations and settlement negotiations Preparing cases for jury trial Serving as first-chair trial counsel Maintaining regular communication with clients Supervising and coordinating with paralegals and support staff Working directly with the firm's owner on higher-value and more complex matters A significant percentage of the firm's clients are Spanish-speaking only.
