Responsible for coordination with other medical professionals as needed and any and all medical oversight as required to fully meet the medical needs of the service recipients in accordance with State of Tennessee guidelines. WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE FOR THIS ROLE : The position requires the employee to be currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the State of Tennessee and experience equivalent to one year of nursing, nursing experience for individuals who have Developmental Disabilities and/or Mental Health concerns is desirable. Knowledge of the guidelines established by the state of Tennessee for community support programs for individuals with Developmental Disabilities is preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES : 1. Monitor the consumers’ safety as it pertains to medical care and medication administration. 2. Conduct medication administration training as needed. 3. Makes home visits when requested. 4. Reviews clients’ medical status on a regular basis 5. Completes paperwork as required for training and home visits. 6. Interacts with consumers in supportive, therapeutic ways. Uses effective techniques to reinforce consumers’ behaviors. 7. Aids in meeting the terms of the consumers’ ISPs. Interacts helpfully and kindly with consumers. 8. The Weekend Interventional Radiology Technologist performs interventional radiology examinations on patients based on department procedures and under the direction of appropriate supervisor. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly assists Radiologist during all aspects of interventional radiology procedures as directed by the appropriate supervisor. Responsible for the continuity of care of patients while they are in the interventional radiology section. Communicates to Radiologist clinical observations during interventional radiology procedures. Demonstrates competency in the knowledge of the RIS/HIS modules appropriate to their job descriptions. Injects contrast for interventional radiology procedures in accordance with department policy. Provides educational information to the patient regarding their examination. Provides coverage for CT biopsies as necessary. Teaches and trains students in their specified technology, if site applicable. Maintains responsibility for own professional development through active participation in in-services and/or continuing education programs. Accurately adheres to downtime procedures to assure appropriate information is available resulting in excellent continuity of care for patients. PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Frequent use of fingers and hands in operating equipment and in charting information. Standing or walking for up to 7 hours per day in 60-minute increments. Sitting for up to 1-hour per day in 15-minute increments. Pushing, pulling and lifting patients up 300 pounds with assistance. Lifting and moving objects up to 40 pounds. At least 1-year experience in interventional radiology preferred. Current CPR certification required. Required to obtain advanced Interventional Radiology registry within 3 years of hire.
