What You Will Do: As an Ordnance Assessment (OA) Engineer, you will lead and support the execution of testing and analysis efforts for a combined surveillance and shelf-life assessment program that assists our customers in inventory management decisions and provides a continuing assessment of the effects of operational environments on the product’s safety, quality, performance, reliability, and service life status. OA engineering activities include: Performing missile-level accelerated aging (environmental exposure) Executing missile and lower-level teardown inspections. Developing energetic item accelerated aging and test plans. Coordinating accelerated aging and testing of energetic and mechanical components at the manufacturer’s facilities or other designated test facilities. Developing assessment reports and presenting results at customer reviews. Reviewing and approving the accuracy, quality and scope of the OA team’s work products. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience. Experience with weapons inspections, hardware testing, and/or hardware integration. Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
