Industrial Ride Mechanic

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Industrial Ride Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide proficient technical services on a variety of ride structures, vehicles, and related components to ensure optimal safety, performance, and reliability of amusement park attractions. This role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing scheduled maintenance, and implementing repairs to keep our rides safe, and in excellent working condition. Discounts on passes, food, and merchandise DailyPay – work today, get paid tomorrow Exclusive employee parties and events for you and your family Pay Rate: $22-$25/hr Qualifications: Specific Job Duties: Performs daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and other required inspections of amusement rides and related equipment as assigned, taking corrective actions as issues are identified. Inspections are visual as well as auditory. Trouble shoots a variety of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems and takes appropriate corrective actions. Properly follows all repair procedures and maintains accurate documentation of all repairs. Maintains orderly and accurate records of all required inspections and work performed and submits required paperwork to supervision in a timely manner. Communicates the status of assigned rides both verbally and in written format. Maintains all assigned equipment in a safe and ready condition according to all applicable codes, laws, rules, company policies, and best practices. Reads, understands, and applies information from manufacturer’s manuals for service, repair and or component replacement. Accurately reads blueprints (mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic). Completes proper documentation as required. Interacts positively with and communicates with various groups and individuals, such as the immediate supervisor, other Park managers and staff, co-workers, guests, vendors, contractors, inspectors, etc. Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving directions. Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervisor. Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. Meets Six Flag’s attendance requirements as outlined in Six Flag’s attendance policies. Adheres to Six Flag’s code of conduct including costuming and grooming standards as outlined in employees’ Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned by management Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Strong proficiency in developing and reading one-line diagrams, and technical documents. Proficient at maintaining various rides and attractions. Uses good judgment, decision making and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong work ethic and attention to detail People that are able to work independently and troubleshoot equipment Should possess practical skill and proficient knowledge in two or more trades, such as: mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, carpentry, welding and small combustion engine repair and maintenance Must be able to trouble-shoot clearly, calmly and safely in the presence of Guests and fellow Team Members Minimum Qualifications : 18 years or older High school diploma or equivalent Must meet location-specific requirements to work on specific rides and attractions. State or provincial certifications and/or licensing within if applicable in state. Welding certification preferred. Should have strong mechanical, electrical & hydraulic experience Must possess strong safety sensitivity & ability to work with many different types of mechanical devises Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the primary job duties, including climbing and working at heights up to and in excess of 150ft., crawling and working in confined spaces and lifting up to 100 lbs. Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures. Must possess the physical dexterity to operate hand tools and motor vehicles Must have tools and equipment to perform required duties and tasks as assigned Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License

Aquatics Supervisor

Overview: The Aquatics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Aquatics department. This includes ensuring that all team members are working together to uphold Six Flags standards. Responsibilities: What You Will Be Doing Attend and complete an Ellis and Associates National Pool and Lifeguard Training Program and be certified as a Special Facilities lifeguard Complete daily inspections to be recorded on company documents Create break schedules, and perform break rotations for area of responsibility Coach and document employee events and discipline Train Team Members in accordance with Six Flags and Great Escape Resort standards Ensure proper location staffing Comply with all Great Escape Resort policies and procedures Operate ride attractions within the waterpark Utilize the “10/20 Protection Rule” to prevent aquatic emergencies and to ensure that swimmers/ bathers are maintaining safe behaviors Perform rescues and utilize lifesaving techniques when required How You Will Do It Operate in a safe manner Willfully perform duties in any department at Great Escape Resort when necessary Be an active team member of the Operations Division and the Aquatics Department Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and team members Follow all delegated tasks assigned by Aquatics Management or as stated in the Operations Standard Operating Procedures and the Ellis and Associates ILTP Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned Attend at least 4 hours of related in-service training sessions each month Why work with us?
