This exciting role is integral to our operations, overseeing all aspects of our commercial and residential construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all site construction activities and supervising all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications. Custom Homes AND Hospitality Responsibilities: 1. Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. 2. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities. 3. Review work progress on a daily basis, identifying any issues or delays and finding solutions to keep the project on track. 4. Ensure all safety guidelines and regulations are strictly followed on the construction site, promoting a culture of safety among team members. 5. Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications, ensuring the construction project aligns with the original design. 6. Conduct quality control checks, inspecting the work of subcontractors to ensure it meets the project standards, codes, and specifications. 7. Liaise with clients, architects, and other construction professionals, maintaining open lines of communication and addressing any concerns or issues promptly. 8. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status, daily progress, estimates, and deliverables. 9. Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain necessary permits and licenses. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role in the Construction industry. 3. Proven experience in commercial and residential construction, with a strong understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles. 4. Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and building plans. 5. Excellent knowledge of construction safety regulations and procedures. 6. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise and guide a team effectively. 7. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders. 8. Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality. 9. Proficient in using construction management software and other relevant computer applications. 10. Valid certification in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training or equivalent safety management certification. 11. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of work.
