Description of Responsibilities Responsible for administration of diagnostic imaging operations in the Radiology department including clinical nuclear medicine. Leads, coordinates and manages budget, workflow, equipment and facility and communicates with PACS/RIS, radiologist and technologist staff. • Assist in coordinating patient scheduling for routine, urgent and stat exams. • Provide hand off communication between multidisciplinary teams including patients, physicians, technologists, interpreters, transportation and nursing staff. • Setup equipment, devise positioning variations and adapt technical factors to accommodate patient condition. • Perform pertinent quality control of equipment specific to the modality and established protocols. • Verify all imaging and documentation is accurate and complete prior to submission into facility medical record. Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology, with expertise in subspecialties such as Body Imaging, Neuroradiology, and/or Nuclear Medicine Clinical Unrestricted medical license in the U.S. and credentialing eligibility by the NIH Clinical Center. Performance Standards: Quality of Service: All radiological services will be performed using RADIS industry-standard equipment and established protocols, ensuring accurate and high-quality diagnostic images are acquired for diagnostic interpretation. Compliance: The Contractor shall comply with all applicable regulations, including HIPAA, patient privacy and confidentiality laws, and all federal and state health and safety guidelines. Responsibilities of RADIS • Provide access to patients requiring diagnostic imaging, with all necessary medical records and physician orders for the imaging services. • Ensure timely communication with the Contractor for scheduling and delivery of services. • Ensure access to appropriate space and facilities for on-site services, if applicable. • Provide all necessary information regarding the patient's medical history, allergies, and contraindications for imaging services.
