This role oversees a high-performing team of content creators and coordinates, and partners closely with cross-functional senior leadership to support brand growth, in-store traffic, and conversion for a fast-paced retail environment supporting all lines of business within the Spirit & Spencer Holdings, Inc. This position requires demonstrated experience leading social media for a retail or consumer-facing brand, managing teams, and translating insights into measurable business impact. Define and lead a comprehensive, multi-platform social media strategy aligned to brand, marketing, and retail objectives. Manage and develop a team of content creators and coordinators, as well as external partners, to deliver high-quality, on-brand content at scale for all social media channels within Spirit Halloween, Spirit Christmas and Spencer's. Own content planning, creative direction, and publishing cadence to ensure timely, relevant, and performance-driven storytelling. Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Brand, Creative, PR, Paid Media, Influencer, Store Marketing, and Customer Experience teams to execute integrated, omni-channel campaigns. Lead planning, timelines, and delivery for social initiatives using established project management tools; proactively identify risks and remove obstacles. Monitor and interpret performance metrics to optimize reach, engagement, and ROI; translate data into actionable insights. Serve as brand steward across all social channels, ensuring consistent voice, tone, and visual identity. Guide community management strategy, including customer engagement, store support, and escalation protocols. Track cultural, retail, and platform trends and apply them strategically—not reactively—to content and campaigns. Lead social listening and crisis-response efforts, partnering with internal teams to mitigate reputational risk. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field 8 years of social media marketing experience, including 3 years leading teams Proven experience supporting retail or consumer brands, with a strong understanding of social's role in driving awareness, traffic, and conversion Deep expertise across major social platforms and familiarity with influencer programs and social management tools (e.g., Emplifi, Sprinklr, Sprout, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite) Strong leadership, communication, and editorial judgment with the ability to balance strategy and execution Highly organized, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment Demonstrated success partnering cross-functionally and managing external vendors or agencies The pay range reflects the potential base salary range for this role. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience and skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position. Pay Range $95,000 - $105,000
