The Department of Emergency Medicine has an extensive research portfolio with a wide range of research areas including emergency ultrasound; acute neurological illness and injury such as acute stroke, status epilepticus, and traumatic brain injury; critical illness; and emerging infectious diseases. The Research Fellow will work closely with a core group of established investigators and a team of coordinators in the Department. In addition, funding and resources are available to develop pilot projects and obtain the necessary skills to establish an independent research career. In addition, the Research Fellow will have the opportunity to work directly with research mentors at partner academic institutions (University of Pennsylvania, Cooper Medical Center, University of Maryland/Shock Trauma) if interested.
