Director, Product Management - Data Intelligence Foundation (Houston)

Remote/Hybrid Job Overview Relativity is a leading legal data intelligence company building AI technology that helps organizations organize data, discover the truth, and act on it with confidence. Over two decades, the company has built the most trusted platform in legal data, earning deep relationships with the world's leading law firms, corporations, and government agencies, and managing petabytes of the most sensitive data in existence. That foundation is now being turned into something larger: The AI platform for legal data intelligence. The Relativity Intelligence Model is the architecture for that transformation. At its base is the Foundational Layer (Relativity's shared data platform serving all AI applications). Five primitives give AI agents the structure, meaning, and retrieval capability they need to reason over legal data at scale: Files, Ontology, Data Capabilities, Knowledge/Metadata, and Query Plane. Relativity's Data Intelligence Foundation engineering org is building this layer. The product leadership that shapes it, drives adoption across Relativity's product teams, and builds the PM discipline to own it long-term. That's this role. The Director of Product Management, Data Intelligence Foundation is one of the highest-leverage product roles at Relativity. The Foundational Layer is what makes every Relativity aiR application smarter, every agent more reliable, and every Relativity product team faster. Getting it right matters enormously. Job Description and Requirements What you’ll own The full PM layer across multiple engineering orgs Files / Natives: The storage primitive for legal documents, images, and native files. You define the substrate that makes immutable legal data consistently accessible across every product, partner integration, and AI workflow, with the SLAs, access contracts, and API surface that teams can build on with confidence. The underlying data primitives are the foundation; the degree to which the retrieval layer (Query Plane) matches this structure determines how easily the organization can navigate between slow data and fast data use cases. Ontology / Relationship: The semantic layer of the Relativity Intelligence Model. Ontology encodes meaning: what kinds of things exist in legal data and how they relate, so that AI agents can reason, not just query. You define what Relativity's Ontology becomes: the entities, relationships, and contracts that give every Skill and Agent a shared vocabulary for legal data. Data Capabilities: Reporting, Audit, and internal data infrastructure. The operational backbone that makes the platform observable, auditable, and explainable. These are non-negotiable properties in legal data intelligence use cases. Knowledge / Metadata: The core data model that every product team, customer, and integration partner works with. A unified materialized document layer, consistent across all workspaces, is the mandate. Your roadmap evolves this surface to serve AI application teams as first-class consumers alongside the users who have relied on it for years. Query Plane: One of the most performance-sensitive and strategically important services in the product. The mandate is a unified retrieval pillar with a rich materialized document layer: standardized ingestion APIs independent of data source, hybrid retrieval (lexical vector) with reranking, chunking as a managed capability, and tiered storage (cold/warm/hot). Minimum qualifications 12 years in product management; 5 years leading platform or infrastructure PM organizations Deep fluency with data platform primitives, including storage systems, metadata layers, knowledge graphs, query engines, or equivalent. Director of Product (California)

Build the Digital Infrastructure That Will Transform Homelessness Services in Los Angeles Role: Director of Product Reports to: Chief Executive Officer Build the Digital Infrastructure That Will Transform Homelessness Services in Los Angeles Role: Director of Product Location: Los Angeles, California (Hybrid) Reports to: Chief Executive Officer This isn't another product management job. The homelessness system wasn't designed. It evolved. More than 10,000 organizations across the U.S.—outreach teams, shelters, housing providers, healthcare organizations, government agencies, and volunteers—share the same mission: helping people move from crisis to stability. Yet the technology connecting this ecosystem hasn't kept pace with the urgency of the problem. Critical information lives in disconnected systems. Referrals are managed through emails, spreadsheets, and phone calls. Frontline workers spend too much time on administrative processes instead of helping people. Data is fragmented across organizations that all want the same outcome but lack the infrastructure to work as a coordinated network. At Better Angels, we are building the shared digital infrastructure that can transform how homelessness services are delivered—giving nonprofits and government agencies the modern tools they need to work together effectively. Just as Salesforce transformed CRM and Epic transformed patient information, the homelessness ecosystem deserves a technology platform designed for its unique challenges. That is our opportunity. About Better Angels Better Angels is a nonprofit dedicated to helping communities solve homelessness through prevention, services, shelter, housing, and technology. Our teams work alongside outreach workers, shelters, nonprofit providers, healthcare organizations, local governments, and community leaders to improve outcomes for people experiencing homelessness. Our Better Angels Outreach App already helps frontline outreach teams connect individuals with services in real time. We are now building Shelter Connect, a next-generation platform to modernize shelter operations while connecting shelters, providers, outreach teams, and government agencies through shared workflows and coordinated decision-making. Our long-term vision is infrastructure that helps communities respond to homelessness as one connected system rather than hundreds of disconnected organizations. The Opportunity We're looking for an exceptional product leader to help build that future. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Product will become one of the primary architects of Better Angels' technology strategy—helping determine not only what we build, but why. You'll work alongside the CEO on long-term product vision, collaborate with our CTO and engineering team to execute it, and spend significant time in the field with the people who use our technology every day. One day you might interview outreach workers about barriers in the field; the next, meet with executive directors of service organizations; later that week, discuss regional coordination with government leaders, then translate those insights into software with engineers and designers. This role requires real systems thinking as much as product thinking—our products won't just automate workflows, they'll shape how organizations collaborate and drive impact. What You'll Build Better Angels Outreach App: You’ll help define the next generation of outreach technology—improving field workflows, integrating AI to reduce administrative burden, enabling better coordination between organizations, and surfacing real-time information so workers spend more time helping people and less time on paperwork. Shelter Connect: One of our most ambitious initiatives—reimagining how shelters operate within an interconnected homelessness response system. You’ll design technology supporting admissions, occupancy management, waitlists, referrals, communication, reporting, case coordination, and cross-organization collaboration, helping shelters function as part of a connected ecosystem and speeding the movement of unhoused individuals into interim housing. What's Next: As Better Angels grows, new opportunities will emerge across outreach, shelter operations, housing placement, service delivery, disaster response, resource allocation, analytics, and AI-assisted case management. You’ll help define that future. What You’ll Do Shape Product Strategy — Partner with our CEO, CTO, and executive team to define our long-term technology vision: develop a multi-year product strategy, identify where technology can improve homelessness systems, evaluate new technologies including AI, and ensure every product contributes to a unified platform. Become an Expert in the Homelessness Ecosystem — This can't be done from behind a desk. Build trusted relationships across the ecosystem; spend time inside shelters, shadow outreach teams, observe case managers, listen to clients, and collaborate with Continuums of Care and city/county agencies. Lead Product Discovery — Map workflows across outreach, shelter operations, referrals, housing navigation, case management, and interagency collaboration; identify structural friction; distinguish requested features from underlying needs; design around real operational challenges. Partner with Engineering and Design — Prioritize roadmaps, define requirements, review designs, guide implementation, make thoughtful tradeoffs between usability, scalability, speed, and complexity, and champion exceptional user experience. Lead Implementation — Lead adoption of Better Angels' technology across nonprofit providers, shelter operators, municipalities, counties, and government agencies. Develop implementation frameworks, training programs, onboarding methodologies, and customer success processes so organizations transform how they work, not just install software. Measure What Matters — Success isn't downloads or clicks. It's whether communities work together more effectively, outreach workers spend more time helping people, shelters operate more efficiently, referrals happen faster, and more people move off the streets into interim and permanent housing. Who You Are You're an exceptional product leader and, more importantly, a systems thinker who enjoys solving complex problems involving people, organizations, incentives, and technology. You know the best products come from curiosity rather than assumptions. You ask thoughtful questions, listen carefully, and earn trust. You care about details without losing sight of the larger vision, and you're energized by ambiguity because you see it as an opportunity to create clarity. You're equally comfortable presenting strategy to executives, facilitating client workshops, sketching concepts with designers, debating implementation details with engineers, and standing beside frontline staff. Most of all, you're motivated by building technology that creates meaningful, measurable impact in people's lives. Qualifications Required 8 years leading product strategy and development for complex software platforms A track record of building products from vision through successful implementation Experience with enterprise software, AI-enabled software, workflow platforms, GovTech, HealthTech, civic technology, logistics platforms, or similarly complex systems Exceptional customer discovery and product strategy skills Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities Experience leading cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and design Experience working directly with executive leadership on company strategy Passion for Better Angels' mission and solving extraordinarily difficult problems Preferred Experience implementing enterprise software across multiple organizations Experience with government agencies, nonprofits, healthcare systems, or public-sector organizations Familiarity with homelessness services, housing systems, healthcare delivery, or case management Experience bringing AI capabilities into operational software thoughtfully and practically Why Better Angels? Every generation of technologists gets to help solve defining challenges. This generation has an opportunity to rethink how communities care for their most vulnerable neighbors. The products you help build won't optimize advertising—they'll help outreach workers connect with people in crisis, help shelters operate more effectively, strengthen collaboration across hundreds of organizations, and help governments make better decisions. This role isn't for everyone. It requires humility, curiosity, empathy, and intellectual rigor—a willingness to listen as much as design, and the belief that technology should make institutions work better for the people they serve. If you've spent your career building products and want to apply those skills to one of society's most important challenges, this may be the most meaningful work you'll ever do. Come help us build the infrastructure that will transform our city and tens of thousands of lives. Better Angels - solving homelessness together. J-18808-Ljbffr
