Benefits include medical/dental/vision plans and parking provided Job Details Job Duties: Handle plaintiff-side employment litigation matters under statutes such as FEHA, PAGA and wage-and-hour laws. Draft motions and opposition briefs, conduct legal research, manage case strategy and attendant deadlines. Take and defend depositions of employees, corporate witnesses, experts and other parties. Work closely with case managers, paralegals, assistants and senior attorneys in a pod-structure model. If interested in leadership, mentor junior attorneys and support staff. Engage in client development and relationship-building, participate in settlement negotiations and trial preparation. Qualifications: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school, and active membership in the California Bar. 3-8 years of litigation experience required; ideal candidates will have 5 or more years of employment law/plaintiff-side experience in California. Proven track record of motion writing, depositions and courtroom advocacy; class-action exposure strongly preferred. Experience with PAGA, FEHA and wage-and-hour litigation is highly desired. Candidates with prior defense-firm experience (2 years or less) may still be considered if willing to pivot to plaintiff-side advocacy. High level of energy, entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to work onsite full time (with the ability to engage in trial travel as needed).
