Pediatrics Physician

Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatrician Recruiting for 3 pediatricians BE/BC to join existing pediatrician and nurse practitioner newborn nursery providers for full-time newborn nursery coverage at the Weiler and Wakefield campuses of Montefiore Medical Center, university hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in the Bronx, New York. The perinatal services at the Weiler and Wakefield campuses of Montefiore provide care for approximately 5,500 live births annually. We serve the Bronx County, a racially, ethnically, socially and economically diverse, urban, inner city community within New York City. All physicians will provide comprehensive, family-centered care including admission and discharge physical exams and daily rounding. The nursery pediatricians will rotate coverage responsibilities between the two nursery services. The position includes medical student and resident education and supervision. Successful candidates will be faculty members within the Department of Pediatrics at the Children s Hospital at Montefiore and will be eligible for the academic rank of Instructor in Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Additional responsibilities will include, hospital and medical school activities related to education, quality improvement, and research. NYS medical license required.
