Director Integrated Media Strategy (Miami)

Department: Media Direct Report: Chief Strategy Officer Title: Director, Integrated Media Strategy Level: Director ABOUT GLUEIQ GlueIQ is the brainchild of our collective obsession with Creativity, Culture, and Tech. We understand that complex problems are best solved collaboratively, and it was time for a creative consultancy model that could foster those critical connections between people, process, and tools that drive meaningful growth for our clients POSITION SUMMARY GlueIQ is looking for a Director, Integrated Media Strategy to shape the media strategy behind some of our most important client relationships. This is not a hands-on platform or channel execution role. We are looking for a strategic media leader who sees media as an interconnected discipline—someone who can translate complex business and marketing objectives into sophisticated, integrated media strategies spanning paid, owned, earned, digital and traditional channels. The right person can start with a client's business challenge—not a predetermined channel or tactic—and determine how media can most effectively solve it. They understand how audiences move across channels, how different media environments work together, how investment decisions should be made, and how activation and measurement must be considered from the very beginning of the planning process. You will be expected to think beyond the media plan itself: What business outcome are we trying to influence? Who do we need to reach? What role should each channel play? How should the experience connect across the consumer journey? How should investment be allocated? What are the implications for activation? And how will we know whether the strategy worked? This is a senior strategic role for someone who can see the entire media ecosystem and confidently lead clients and internal teams through it. What You'll Own Integrated Media Strategy Lead the development of holistic, omnichannel media strategies grounded in client business objectives, audience behavior, category dynamics and cultural context. Translate broad or complex business challenges into clear media objectives, strategic frameworks and investment approaches. Determine the appropriate role of media across the full consumer journey—from awareness and consideration through acquisition, conversion, retention and advocacy. Develop channel-neutral strategies before determining the appropriate media mix. Build integrated approaches across d igital, social, search, programmatic, video/CTV, television, audio, OOH, print, partnerships, sponsorships, influencer and emerging channels, as appropriate to the business challenge. Understand how paid, owned and earned media can work together to create a connected consumer experience. Think critically about the implications of every strategic recommendation—from audience and investment decisions through activation and measurement. Media Planning & Investment Leadership Establish the strategic architecture that guides channel planning and activation. Develop media allocation frameworks that balance reach, frequency, efficiency, effectiveness and business impact. Evaluate investment decisions based on the client's objectives rather than defaulting to familiar platforms or historical channel mixes. Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to evolve clients' media approaches. Partner with channel specialists and activation teams to ensure execution remains true to the overarching strategy. Provide senior oversight and strategic direction without needing to be the person operating platforms day to day. Measurement & Effectiveness Build measurement thinking into the strategy from the outset rather than treating reporting as an afterthought. Define meaningful KPIs and measurement frameworks tied to both media objectives and broader business outcomes. Partner with analytics and activation teams to establish appropriate approaches to attribution, incrementality, brand measurement and performance evaluation. Interpret performance through a strategic lens, identifying not simply what happened, but why it happened and what we should do next. Turn data, research and campaign learnings into actionable strategic recommendations for clients. Client Leadership Serve as a senior media advisor to clients, helping them navigate an increasingly complex and fragmented media landscape. Lead strategic media conversations with senior client stakeholders and confidently articulate the rationale behind recommendations. Simplify complex media concepts into clear, compelling narratives that connect media decisions to business impact. Proactively identify opportunities, challenges and shifts in consumer behavior or the media landscape that should influence client strategy. Build credibility as a partner who can challenge clients constructively—not simply respond to briefs. Present integrated media strategies, investment recommendations and performance narratives with clarity and conviction. Cross-Functional Leadership Partner closely with strategy, creative, account, analytics, social and production teams to ensure media thinking is integrated throughout the broader marketing strategy. Bring media into the strategic process early, helping shape briefs and business solutions rather than simply receiving campaigns for distribution. Provide strategic direction to channel specialists and activation teams while empowering subject-matter experts to lead execution. Establish planning frameworks and best practices that elevate the quality of media thinking across GlueIQ. Mentor and develop more junior media talent, helping them evolve from channel-focused practitioners into stronger strategic thinkers. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who has developed beyond being an exceptional media practitioner into being an exceptional media thinker . The strongest candidates will bring: Approximately 10 years of progressive media strategy and planning experience , ideally within an integrated agency environment or similarly complex organization. Demonstrated experience developing truly omnichannel media strategies rather than primarily digital or performance media plans. Deep understanding of both traditional and digital media, and the ability to determine when and why different channels belong in the mix. Experience planning against a range of business objectives, including brand building, awareness, consideration, acquisition, conversion and retention. Strong understanding of audience strategy, communications planning, channel roles, investment strategy and measurement. The ability to move fluidly between business strategy, consumer insight, media strategy, activation implications and measurement . Experience leading sophisticated client conversations and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders. Strong analytical instincts and the ability to turn data into strategic insight rather than simply reporting performance. Experience directing channel specialists and activation teams without needing to personally execute campaigns within platforms. A point of view on how the media landscape is evolving and what those changes mean for brands. QUALIFICATIONS 10 years of media planning and buying experience (agency background strongly preferred). Proven success managing integrated media strategies across paid social, display, video, programmatic, and traditional channels. Strong relationships with media vendors and platforms; ability to negotiate effectively. Deep understanding of media measurement, attribution, and performance analysis. Skilled in using tools like Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, DV360, The Trade Desk, and other DSPs; familiarity with Nielsen, Comscore, or other traditional media tools a plus. Exceptional communication and presentation skills — comfortable advising senior client stakeholders. Leadership experience managing and mentoring junior team members. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing agency environment. BENEFITS: GlueIQ pays 100% of Health plan premium (health, dental, vision) Hybrid working environment in creative, vibrant office setting (4 days in office, 1 day WFH) 401k Profit-Sharing Plan Client-specific benefits and perks Office located in heart of Coral Gables *GlueIQ is strongly committed to hiring a diverse staff, and believes all experiences and perspectives bring value to our clients.
