Job Summary Oversee and manage local drivers ensuring proper communication between drivers, Branch and Corporate Management. Implement new routes. Ensure compliance with all state Department of Transportation (DOT) and Company regulations and adapt MedTrans capabilities to provide efficient high quality Transportation Service. Job Description Responsibilities: Optimize daily routes and activities based on Branch and Fleet workloads and available Customer order information to maximize the utility of all Fleet assets. Ensure compliance with all DOT and Company regulations Ensure drivers are properly trained according to MedTrans requirements. Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the assigned Medtrans fleet. Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained in accordance with the MedTrans vehicle maintenance policy. Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with drivers as required by DOT or company policy. Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.
