Pediatric - Critical Care Medicine Physician

SLUCare Physician Group, a member of SSM Health, is seeking a full-time pediatric critical care faculty member to join the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Critical Care Medicine at Saint Louis University and SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital. The successful candidate will provide clinical coverage in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Sedation Service at Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital. Academic rank and appointment with Saint Louis University will be commensurate with experience. We are especially interested in applicants who have an academic focus on pediatric critical care fellowship education and/or the potential to develop research-based and clinical programs in post-PICU follow-up care. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of post-fellowship experience or demonstrated cardiac experience. This position offers an excellent opportunity to combine clinical practice with academic pursuits in a collaborative and supportive environment. The Division of Pediatric Critical Care consists of 10 full-time faculty members and 5 acute care pediatric nurse practitioners delivering critical care services in a 21-bed mixed medical/surgical/cardiac PICU. The Division also provides procedural pediatric sedation services to approximately 1800 children annually. Faculty members are actively involved in research, quality improvement, and medical education for students, residents, and pediatric critical care fellows. The PICU has approximately 1,000 annual admissions including 250-300 cardiac intensive care patients.
