Water/Wastewater Project Manager (Denver)

Senior Water / Wastewater Project Manager – Denver, CO What would need to be different about your current role for you to seriously consider making a move? More ownership of projects? A stronger team around you? The ability to work across different types of water/wastewater projects rather than getting stuck in one lane? Or the opportunity to join a practice that is actively investing in growth? Talisman is partnered with a 14,000 person, 100% employee-owned engineering and construction firm that is growing its Water practice in Denver. We're interested in speaking with experienced municipal water/wastewater engineers across both treatment and conveyance who would be open to hearing about the opportunity. The Team The Denver Water practice is already around 70 people, so this isn't a situation where you'd be joining a small office and expected to build everything yourself. The group includes dedicated teams across: Municipal wastewater treatment Drinking water Water/wastewater conveyance and systems Industrial water/wastewater The municipal wastewater department alone includes 14 process engineers, while the conveyance/systems group has another 11–12 people. The wastewater group is led by a Department Manager who has spent more than a decade building his career with the firm in Denver. His background spans municipal and industrial treatment, collaborative delivery, advanced treatment, water reuse, resource recovery, design and construction. He also brings an international background with graduate degrees in both environmental engineering and technology management, and has worked across a wide range of municipal water and wastewater facilities. Why Now? The bigger story is where the Water practice is heading. Around a year ago, the firm brought in a new national Water leader who previously managed approximately $4.5B in revenue at one of the largest engineering consultancies in the world. His mandate is to significantly grow the Water business and establish it alongside the largest water consulting practices in the country. That investment is already underway, with new markets and offices being targeted across Colorado, California, the Pacific Northwest and Boise, alongside senior hires from some of the industry's largest competitors. For someone joining now, there is an established team and project backlog to step into, but also a unique opportunity to help shape where the practice goes next. The Work There's a lot of variety depending on your background. On the treatment side, the Denver team is particularly strong in brownfield WWTP projects, keeping facilities operational while major upgrades are designed and constructed. One current project involves expanding a Colorado facility from 4.6 to 7.2 MGD, including an MBR retrofit and new nutrient requirements. On the systems side, there are opportunities across water distribution, wastewater collection, pipelines, pump stations and broader conveyance infrastructure. The firm is also heavily design-build focused, meaning engineers have the opportunity to stay involved beyond design and see how their projects are actually constructed. Who We're Interested in Speaking With We're keeping this intentionally broad. If you have roughly 8–10 years of municipal water/wastewater consulting experience, we'd be interested in a conversation. That could include a: Treatment/process engineer Conveyance or collection systems engineer Project Manager Technical specialist Seller-doer / client manager Senior engineer looking for a clearer path into leadership You don't need to be actively looking. There are opportunities for people who want to stay technical, move deeper into PM/BD, or combine all three. The firm also offers employee ownership and profit sharing from day one, strong bonuses, a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, hybrid flexibility and the backing of a much larger national Water organization. If you're doing well where you are but feel like your next move would need to offer better projects, stronger support and more room to grow, apply or reach out confidentially. We can share more about the team, leadership and where you could fit.

Vice President, Power, Utilities & Infrastructure Investment Banking (New York)

Vice President, Power, Utilities & Infrastructure Investment Banking New York, NY We are working with a leading global investment bank that is expanding its Power, Utilities & Infrastructure investment banking franchise in New York following a period of significant growth and exceptionally strong transaction activity. The team is looking to hire a Vice President who can take a leading role in the execution of complex M&A and strategic advisory assignments across the sector. This is primarily an execution role rather than an origination hire, making it particularly attractive for technically strong VPs who want to remain close to transactions while gaining significant exposure to senior clients and highly experienced Managing Directors. A HIGH GROWTH PLATFORM- The group has expanded materially and now combines four senior Managing Directors with a growing team of VPs, Associates and Analysts. Despite that growth, the platform remains lean relative to its transaction pipeline. Current and recent activity includes: A recently announced $3bn utility acquisition A pending multi-billion-dollar sale of a power and district energy platform An active ~$500m solar buy-side mandate An active ~$1bn strategic restructuring / transaction Additional assignments spanning power generation, regulated utilities, renewables and energy infrastructure The senior team includes bankers who have held leadership positions or built their careers at several of the worlds leading investment banking franchises. For an experienced VP, that combination provides exposure to sophisticated transactions while offering considerably more visibility and responsibility than is often possible within a larger, more layered banking team. THE ROLE- You will act as a senior execution lead across M&A and strategic advisory transactions. Responsibilities will include: Managing the day-to-day execution of complex transactions Leading financial analysis, valuation and transaction modelling Managing Associates and Analysts across live engagements Reviewing transaction materials and providing senior-level technical oversight Coordinating diligence, documentation and workstreams across transaction processes Working directly with senior executives, sponsors, corporates and other transaction counterparties Developing strategic and transaction recommendations alongside senior coverage bankers Preparing and delivering high-impact client presentations Maintaining close communication with senior bankers as transactions progress Training and developing junior members of the team Contributing sector and market expertise across power, utilities and energy infrastructure WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR- The preferred candidate will currently be operating at the VP1 or VP2 level within investment banking. Candidates should bring: Strong M&A transaction execution experience Excellent financial modeling and valuation capabilities Experience managing junior deal teams The ability to run multiple transaction workstreams simultaneously Strong client communication and presentation skills High attention to detail and sound commercial judgment A track record of operating successfully in demanding investment banking environments Experience within Power & Utilities is strongly preferred, particularly within power generation, renewables or broader energy infrastructure. Candidates from a leading M&A product group with relevant transaction exposure will also be considered. The mandate is focused on finding an exceptional execution banker. A significant existing book of business or demonstrated origination track record is not required. COMPENSATION- Vice Presidents have historically received a $275k base salary, with VP total cash compensation ranging from $500k-$700k dependent on performance. There is flexibility for exceptional candidates. The bank may also consider: Bonus buyouts Approximately $10k of relocation assistance for candidates moving to New York Certain H-1B situations on a case-by-case basis Candidates with existing US work authorization are preferred. WHY JOIN- The attraction of this opportunity is straightforward: Significant deal flow, a rapidly growing franchise, an unusually strong senior banking team and the opportunity to become a key execution leader within a platform that is continuing to invest. For VPs who want to remain deeply involved in transactions rather than moving prematurely into a purely origination-focused role, this is an especially compelling opportunity.
