Helps to maintain all employee personnel files and records, consistently filing to maintain these records. Assists with employee morale in planning staff events. All other duties assigned. The Purchasing Clerk performs data entry and clerical duties related to the purchasing function. Duties/Responsibilities for Purchasing Clerk: Good working knowledge of administrative procedures, as well as various computer applications and programs. Contacts vendors regarding routine problems related to variances in product orders to products received. Obtain quotes/pricing from vendors. Maintains vendor files, logs, spreadsheets and obtains new vendors. Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and logs under the direction of the Purchasing Agent. Answers departmental telephones and takes messages. Other job duties as assigned Requirements: Minimum: High school graduate or equivalent. One years’ work-related experience in a complex clerical capacity. Preferred: Associates degree. Two years’ experience in related field. Knowledge: Good communication skills, both oral and written.
