Job Details Job Details: We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Consulting Occupational Therapist to join our team in the healthcare industry. This position presents a unique opportunity to provide outstanding services to a diverse population of students within a school setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and treating students with disabilities, maintaining daily progress and attendance records, writing progress reports, attending IEP meetings, and recommending adaptive equipment, environmental modifications or appropriate assistive technology. Responsibilities: As a Consulting Occupational Therapist, your key duties will include: 1. Providing consultation and support to school staff to enhance student learning. 2. Assessing students' fine and gross motor skills and functional abilities (e.g., sensory processing, visual motor skills, adaptive behavior, etc.) for the purpose of identifying needs and developing an individualized treatment plan. 3. Developing and implementing individual occupational therapy programs by designing and conducting therapy sessions to meet students' goals. 4. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate team goals for each student. 5. Documenting students' progress and plan for reevaluation. 6. Providing training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals. 7. Working in different school settings (e.g., inclusion, resource, separate classrooms) to implement therapy programs. 8. Adhering to all mandated guidelines for students' therapy, including completion of necessary paperwork. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: 1. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program. 2. A current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist. 3. A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a school system or pediatric practice setting. 4. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies affecting services to students with disabilities. 5. Experience in working with students with a range of disabilities (e.g., physical, mental, sensory, developmental, etc.). 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with students, staff, and parents. 7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. 8. Proficiency in using computer software and online systems for documentation, data analysis, and communication. 9. Ability to transport self to various locations throughout the day. 10.
