Overview: The purpose of this seasonal position is to provide care and respond to all EMS and First Aid needs for Six Flags guests and employees and to insure quality patient care through EMS and First Aid Guidelines. Job and Career Building Skills Flexible scheduling Responsibilities: Provide medical care, and/or medically related transportation for our employees and Guests. Maintain all equipment and facilities of First Aid. Complete and maintain medical records and reports to include First Aid reports, STARS data, and GEMSIS. Conduct safety inspections throughout the park as requested by the safety manager including, but not limited, to ride audits. Respond to and mitigate emergency situations as needed. Ensure that image, cleanliness, and courtesy standards requirements are met. Refrain from consuming any substance that may impair judgment. Maintain an atmosphere of teamwork and cordiality in working relationships. Resolve Guests’ concerns that may arise on a daily basis. Complete any and all tasks as requested by Six Flags Management. EMT Pay Rate: up to $20/hr Paramedic Pay Rate: up to $22/hr Qualifications: MUST BE at least 18 years of age. Valid Driver’s License. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Maintain applicable National Registry certifications (EMT-P, EMT–I, EMT-CT). Possess and maintain a valid and current park driving permit. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret written, oral, and diagnostic form instructions. Ability to use good judgment and remain calm in high-stress situations. Ability to work effectively in an environment with loud noises and flashing lights. Ability to function effectively through an entire shift or assignment. Ability to calculate weight and volume ratios and read small print, both under life-threatening time restrictions. Ability to read, converse and understand English. Ability to appropriately interview patients, family members, bystanders, and witnesses. Ability to document in writing, all relevant information in a prescribed format. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, manipulate, and operate medical equipment, in excess of 75 pounds. Ability to walk, run, bend, stoop and crawl on uneven terrain. Qualifications: Interested candidates must be at least 18 years of age to audition. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Animated Characters/ Ambassadors & Show Hosts We are looking for energetic, animated team players with previous acting or mascot experience. Candidates must stand between 5’ and 5’8” tall and should be in good physical condition, must be able to move on their feet for long periods of time and perform a simple choreographed dance party as well as interact with guests during Meet & Greets throughout the day. In addition, ambassadors and show hosts must be able to speak clearly while interacting with guests. Show Hosts should also have emcee/host experience using a microphone. Atmosphere Characters We are looking to cast a variety of streetmosphere characters who will amplify the guest experience for our 65 th Anniversary! Candidates should have a great personality, come with previous acting/improvisational experience, and have a desire to create positive guest interactions! Candidates must be in good physical condition, be able to move on their feet for long periods of time, and they must be able to speak clearly to guests while offering directions or taking photos throughout the day.
