Position: Massage Therapist Reports To: Spa Manager & Hotel General Manager Requirements: - Licensed in Massage Therapy with CAMTC Certification - Submittal of CAMTC certificate and application approval to the Santa Cruz Police Department before employment begins - Must show proof of self-liability Insurance - Proven experience working as a Spa Therapist - Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology and different massage types - The ability to stand for extended periods of time - Patience, professionalism and respect for Spa guests - Exceptional customer service skills General Responsibilities: Perform multiple types of massages, beauty treatments, and wellness therapies. Maintain detailed records of massages, treatments, and therapies performed on each spa guest. Communicate with guests during massages to adjust massage techniques as required. Resolve guest complaints and report any accidents to the Spa Manager & Director of HR. Clean and sanitize work areas, changing treatment room sheets, and sterilizing all instruments and equipment before and after each use. Follow all COVID19 related sterilization and sanitation requirements prior to each treatment in accordance with federal, state and local laws. Explain massages, treatments, and therapies to guests and provide suitable recommendations as needed. Ensure that the spa is adequately stocked with spa supplies and report shortages to the Spa Manager. Enquire about guests' medical conditions and allergies before providing spa services.
