Description Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized assessments and observational evaluations. Create tailored treatment plans that encompass both immediate targets and long-term goals relating to communication, cognition, or swallowing challenges. Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on various aspects of communication, including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish comprehensive treatment strategies. Provide resources and education for patients and families to facilitate continued support and progress outside of clinical appointments. Assist with the occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments, ensuring a smooth continuity of care throughout every stage of the treatment journey. Accurately document clinical findings and patient progress in compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuing education and peer networking opportunities. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not fully ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-driven therapy techniques for all ages, with a solid grasp of speech, language, and swallowing disorders both developmental and acquired. Outstanding interpersonal communicative skills suited to engaging patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
