Meta Media Buyer & Creative Strategist for Ecommerce Brands Part time to full time | Remote | Contractor | $2200 to $4400 per month | Based in North or South America ONLY *PLEASE ONLY APPLY if you have experience running ads for ecommerce brands and executing creative strategy. About the Job Sammy Jane Marketing (SJM) is a boutique paid ads agency that runs Meta ads for subscription ecommerce brands. We're looking for a Media Buyer & Creative Strategist to join our small team. This is not a media buying only role. Some agencies split the work between a media buyer and a separate creative strategist. Here, you are both. You'll run the ad accounts, figure out why the winning ads are winning, and write the briefs for the next round of creative. On a typical day, you'll start by reviewing and optimizing your accounts. You'll dig into which creatives are performing and why: the hook, angle, creator, persona, pain point, or format. From there, you'll write creative briefs for new concepts and scripts for creators. As the day goes on, you'll work with your clients and our team on strategy, while also researching and testing new ideas on your own to get results. This role is built for a self starter. You take ownership, move without being told, and treat each account like it's your own business. You don't need a manager checking in on you all day. You also need to think critically. In a world of AI, we need the strategist who guides the AI tools to do the work faster and better, not someone who lets AI do the thinking. How the Role Ramps Up Weeks 1 to 2: paid training so you can show us what you know and we can make sure we're a good fit for each other After training: you'll build up to a part time roster of 3 to 4 accounts Room to grow: strong performers can move to a full time roster of 5 to 7 accounts Accounts typically spend $5,000 to $50,000 per month on ads You'll report to Sammy, our Head Strategist What You'll Own Media Buying Build, launch, and optimize Meta campaigns for ecommerce and subscription ecommerce brands Monitor every active campaign to make sure it's meeting KPIs Manage ad spend based on client goals and performance Track and analyze data for each campaign and across campaigns Audit account performance and find weak spots in the funnel Keep up with the latest Meta platform, algorithm, and attribution changes Creative Strategy Analyze top performing ads and explain why they work Recommend new ad concepts, angles, and tests based on the data Write clear creative briefs for our design and video team Write scripts and briefs for UGC creators Support creator sourcing through Trybe as needed Research competitors and the ad library to find new ideas to test Client Relationships Lead onboarding kickoff calls and weekly client check ins Lead each client with confidence so they feel looked after from start to finish Make strategic messaging and funnel recommendations Make sure clients have realistic goals and understand what it takes to reach them Use empathy and strong people skills to build long term relationships Our Values Confidence: Clients come to us because they want an expert they can trust. We show up knowing our stuff and stand behind our recommendations. Critical Thinking: AI can do a lot, but it can't replace good judgment. We ask why, we question the data, and we guide the tools instead of following them blindly. Kindness: Whether a client is small or large, we owe each other respect and care. Kindness builds better relationships and better results over time. Must Haves 3 years of Meta ads experience with ecommerce brands Experience managing at least $10,000 to $50,000 per month in ad spend Proven creative strategy and brief writing skills Exceptional communication skills, both written and on calls A confident, steady personality that can lead client relationships Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into smart decisions Self directed and self motivated with a high standard for your work Fluent, native level English Available 9am to 5pm in a US time zone (PST, MST, CST, or EST) Nice to Have Experience with subscription ecommerce brands Familiarity with Triple Whale, Trybe, Motion, Foreplay, and ClickUp Perks Small client roster: you'll never be stretched so thin that quality suffers You are the Architect: each account is yours to own.
