Job Details: Job Title: Chemical Operator Location: Sparks, GA 31647 Duration: 7 months Pay Range: $16hr-$17/hr (Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Pay rate is $17.00/hour with $2.00/hour shift differential for 4 weeks of night shift. Anticipated Start Date: ASAP (Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.) Qualifications: Candidates MUST have GED or High School Diploma and MUST be verified. Interviews will take place in-person. Drug screen and medical clearance will be performed on site. Drug screen to take place after interview if manager chooses to move forward. Workers are approved to start conditionally, usually the following week, with a clear drug screen. These positions will have the following requirements and will be medically tested. - Wear a respirator. - Operate forklift, not primary focus but will be required. - Work in areas that require hearing protection. The Chemical Operators will work a 2/2/3 shift schedule between 7am-7pm. They will rotate to a night shift every 4 weeks. The times will be 7am - 7pm and 7pm - 7am. QUALIFICATIONS: * Basic computer skills * Must work well in a team environment * Demonstrate good work habits (attendance, safety, housekeeping, etc Good verbal and written communication skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts * Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 lbs. * Must be able to wear a face mask/shield when needed. Responsibilities: The candidate's assignment will include but is not limited to: * Loading from raw materials into a vessel. Milling, blending in various batch plants. * Operate fork truck, hand truck and other common material moving equipment * Loading of drums and sacks with finished solid chemical product * Complete all required daily documentation as it relates to production * Be responsible for identification of and reporting of safety violations or concerns and be responsible for the duties that will be assigned to them. * Must be willing to work all shifts and overtime as required. * This position will be hands on manufacturing, interfacing with product and equipment. * Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. * The incumbent in this position will be responsible for providing support to team members in activities such as operation of chemical processes other operational activities as needed. * The incumbent in this role must demonstrate excellent housekeeping skills, attendance and teamwork. * Must be willing to work rotating shifts.
