Pharmacist - Travel Job
We're hiring a licensed pharmacist for a contract position in Fort Thomas, KY at a hospital where you will use clinical expertise to ensure the safe and thoughtful distribution of medications to individuals navigating a range of physical and mental health challenges. Experience in hospital pharmacy operations, including procurement, inventory control, and controlled substance management. Experience preparing, labeling, and dispensing sterile and non-sterile products, including parenteral medications. Experience with medication reconciliation, discharge medication counseling, and patient medication education. Clinical experience with antimicrobial stewardship, interpretation of culture results, and making recommendations for common infectious conditions (UTI, pneumonia, SSTI). Experience with pharmacokinetic dosing management and anticoagulation dosing/monitoring. Familiarity with pharmacy recordkeeping and regulatory compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws. EPIC experience required. Ability to conduct unit inspections, participate in Pharmacy & Therapeutics activities, and support quality assurance initiatives. Clear communication skills for gathering home medication histories and performing discharge counseling. Preferred Qualifications: 6 months of prior pharmacist experience preferred. Experience developing and delivering staff education and orientation programs. Prior experience in inpatient hospital formulary development and medication use evaluation.
