Manufacturing Controller
Job Title: Manufacturing Controller Location: Chicago , IL Work Hours: 8:30 AM 4:30 PM Job Summary: The Manufacturing Controller leads production operations at the plant level, driving performance across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, and Morale (SQCDSM). This role ensures effective execution of the manufacturing strategy while building a high-performing, future-ready organization. In parallel, the role provides strong financial and strategic oversight to support the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring optimal conversion costs, compliance with internal controls, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Lead production operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, volume, cost, sustainability, and engagement targets. Drive transformation initiatives across operating teams, including IL6S (Integrated Lean Six Sigma), Factory of the Future (FoF), line-centric organization models, Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Progressive Maintenance (PM), and the integrated 6-star operating model. Support annual manufacturing operational plans and cascade goals related to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, and Engagement across the organization. Establish strong governance to review and control operational performance, embedding a zero-loss mindset and continuous improvement culture. Ensure compliance with all manufacturing standards and governance requirements, including quality, food safety/GMP, health and safety, environmental and sustainability standards, security, code of conduct, internal audits, and local legal requirements. Lead talent development, capability building, and employee engagement initiatives to attract, retain, and develop critical manufacturing talent. Partner closely with cross-functional teams to align operational objectives, KPIs, and long-term manufacturing strategy. Required Experience & Qualifications: Strong manufacturing and operational leadership experience within the Client industry. Proven expertise in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma tools and methodologies. Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Engineering background with solid financial and business acumen, project management skills, and knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing systems.
