The University of Iowa Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation is seeking a faculty spine surgeon who will have teaching, research, and clinical service responsibilities in the Spine Division of the department. Appointment will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor based on background and qualifications and may be in either on the Clinical or Tenure Track, depending upon research interests and background. The University of Iowa is a level 1 trauma center and cares for severely injured patients from around the state. This is an outstanding opportunity to join our academic department and to be a part of our growing spine service. The new University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus will open in 2025. This 469,000 square foot facility will be home to UI Health Care s nationally recognized Orthopedics service line, offering comprehensive, coordinated, and accessible care across the outpatient, inpatient and surgical venues. These state-of-the-art clinical facilities will also include a full-service community imaging center, laboratory services, physical therapy, retail pharmacy, and emergency department as well as an array of support services. The facility has been designed to support a superior patient and staff experience; excellence across our patient care, teaching and research missions; convenient access to services; and engaging community partnerships.
