Currently seeking endocrinologists to join our Endocrinology team in Leesburg. Our physician-designed offices offer user-friendly EMR Clinipro (EHR), Medical Manager (PM), and cutting-edge proprietary support technology. The practice has one outpatient office that is located in Sarasota (5mins from Clinic). Weekend call coverage will be 1:4 with weekly evening call rotations. The selected physician will have the support of two ARNP and a dietician, both with diabetes certification. Diabetic Education support in the practice Monday through Friday. PTI Medical Group is seeking an endocrinologist with training and experience in diabetes and metabolism management to serve as Medical Director. It must have a valid Florida medical license to practice medicine in Florida. Applicant must have an M.D. degree or equivalent from an LCME-approved medical school and satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency program from an ACGME-accredited program. The candidate must be eligible for Florida medical licensure and be board-certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. Responsibilities include traditional Endocrinology, including insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitoring, thyroid nodule biopsies, thyroid cancer management, among other disorders. ? ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: (May include but are not limited to) Analyzing, examining, and investigating patients and their medical histories for signs and symptoms of hormonal imbalances Advising, ordering, and performing tests and interpreting the results, and implementing patient strategies to improve daily operations. Discussing diagnosis with patients, explaining treatment options, and giving advice on medications, lifestyle and dietary changes, and other preventative measures Carrying out follow-up appointments, monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans and medications, and updating patient records Supporting patients with serious or complex endocrine conditions and their loved ones Document patient records and progress, including symptoms, medications, and treatments Provide patients with tools and methods for recovery and better quality of life Educate the patient, patients family, significant others, and relevant parties of patient progress, treatment, and future goal REQUIREMENTS: Endocrinologist Requirements: Endocrinology DO or MD, BC or BE A medical degree in endocrinology and the successful completion of a residency and fellowship. A medical license and/or certification to practice endocrinology in the state of Florida. A thorough understanding of the endocrine system and its diseases, disorders, and conditions. Strong analytical abilities to provide accurate diagnoses. Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, and communication skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and researching skills. Proficiency with computers and medical equipment.
