We are seeking Die Chaser-Polisher for a Metal Extrusion client in Garden City, MI Shift: 2nd: 3 pm to 1 am Monday- Friday, OT Saturdays 3 pm to 11 pm Must be able to train on days for 2 weeks (5 am to 1pm M-F, Sat 5 am -1 pm) Heavy Lifting is required for this role! Pay Rate:16/hr Job Duties Transporting die press molds to various areas according to schedule and move extruded dies for caustic processing/storage Use a craning device to hook and relocate dies to various areas Lift dies either solo up to 50lbs or with assistance up to 75 lbs. Put dies through the caustic solution to clean excess aluminum out of the die Inspect and polish dies to ensure they are clean and there are no remaining aluminum remnants Load, start, and monitor the nitrider machine Assist in die corrections Assemble and break down tooling assemblies Utilize various hand tools including: hammers and chisels Clean work area at end of the shift Perform any other assignments given On-Site Training Use of proper PPE (i.e.: safety glasses, steel toe, ear plugs, gloves, etc.). Safety Rules and Practices Die inspection Cleaning dies Proper operation of hand tools and use of safety equipment Requirements Lifting 50 to 75 pounds with assistance, continuously High school diploma, or equivalent Certification or Associate's Degree in a Manufacturing field is a plus! Ability to read and write in English fluently with proficiency Must have basic computer skills.
