Curtze Food Service in Uniontown, PA, is seeking to hire a full-time CDL A Route Delivery Driver for our growing team. Curtze Food Service provides an array of restaurants and kitchens with quality food and other products. The Route Delivery Driver delivers large food and supplies orders to our customers throughout the week. Our drivers have a first-shift schedule that has the convenience of returning home nightly. Wage: $30.00 per hour Shift: 1st shift schedule A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CDL CLASS A ROUTE DELIVERY DRIVER The Class A Delivery Driver starts work in the early morning by receiving a route for the day. The driver will begin the route, delivering anywhere from 10 to 30 locations per route. The Driver will use a hand cart to down stack pallets and deliver the ordered items to each customer. The driver needs to maintain attention to detail and superb customer service during the course of the day. All customers will have delivery instructions for the Driver to follow. Once the delivery is made, the Driver will verify payment or receive payment from the customer. At the completion of the route, the Driver refuels the company truck, returns to the warehouse, processes returns, and completes the final paperwork. Obtain legible signature for all merchandise delivered per Company policy and procedure. • Collect and secure outstanding payments for all cash sale deliveries prior to releasing the material to the customer. • Work with customers at the delivery site to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately. • Load the truck at other locations with merchandise. This includes merchandise picked up at vendor locations, returned by customers, and purchased from other wholesalers. • Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses discovered in the course of making deliveries. • Inspect the truck and required parts and accessories to determine safe operating condition prior to departure from the Hajoca location. Keep truck clean of debris in cab and body. • Advise management of any mechanical problems with the truck. About You: • Be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs.
