Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. 2. Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports or as needed. 3. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts. 4. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. 5. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. 6. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. 7. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. 8. Conduct regular ledger maintenance. 9. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. 10. Analyze financial reports for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention. 11. Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) license is preferred. 3. Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, chief or senior accountant with 5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience. 4. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. 5. Experience with creating financial statements and tax preparation. 6. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. 7. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills. 8. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills. 9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 11. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards, and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities. Direct and supervise, on assigned unit, the daily functions of the nursing staff in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the Skilled Nursing Facility. Ensure that all nursing personnel assigned to assigned care area comply with the written policies and procedures established by this facility. Participate with updating and reviewing care plans that identify goals, problems, approaches, and revisions based on nursing needs. Administer professional nursing services when needed commensurate with the scope of practice including wound care, IV therapy, med administration, clinical tasks, etc. Meet with assigned nursing staff to discuss planning the shift’s services, programs, and activities and monitor duties are completed as directed. Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure that the resident’s total regimen of care is maintained. Manage quality and accuracy of the EHR for all residents and staff under your oversight. Manage and improve unit-based performance metrics that are reported by the facility i.e. (Falls, FAPU, QMs, Re-hospitalizations, etc.). If designated by the DON and Infection Prevention Certified, functions as the Infection Preventionist responsible for coordinating the infection prevention and control program as required by state/federal regulations. Responsible for the quality of resident admissions, transfers, and discharges. Participate in the orientation of new residents/family members to the unit. Complete daily clinical and environmental rounds to evaluate resident care and report significant events. Assists in the monitoring of psychotropic medication use, including but not limited to behavioral monitoring, obtaining consents, monitoring for side effects and follow-up as needed. Address resident/family issues in a timely manner. Report significant issues to the Director of Nursing. Communicate with health care practitioner to review treatment plans, complete orders, progress notes, etc., in accordance with established policies. Oversee the completion of accident/incident reports involving residents. Report to risk management for further follow-up as needed. Complete Recapitulations each month for physician signature. Report all discrepancies to DON. Ensure that an adequate supply of floor stock medications, supplies, and equipment are available to meet resident care needs. Conduct employee performance evaluations. Make recommendations to the DON concerning employee discipline, dismissal and/or transfers.
