Work Environment\n This full-time position operates in a telehealth setting, offering flexibility for both our counselors and clients. You will join a collaborative and multidisciplinary team of licensed professionals who prioritize compassionate care, ensuring our practice remains a safe and judgment-free space. The typical work schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a possibility of occasional evening shifts to accommodate our clients’ needs. Key Responsibilities\n \n Conduct thorough assessments to identify the unique needs and goals of each individual seeking treatment for substance use disorders. \n Design customized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy. \n Provide ongoing individual counseling sessions that foster a supportive therapeutic alliance, assisting clients with coping strategies and recovery skills. \n Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions aimed at encouraging peer support and building community among individuals in recovery. \n Collaborate with psychiatrists and addiction specialists to coordinate patient care and integrate various therapeutic approaches. \n Offer crisis intervention during emergencies related to substance use, ensuring immediate support is available for clients in distress. \n Serve as an educator for patients and their families, providing insights on addiction, recovery processes, and available community resources. \n Maintain accurate and confidential case notes and documentation in compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations. \n Participate actively in team meetings, providing case updates, discussing treatment strategies, and engaging in continuous professional development. \n Stay informed of the latest research and best practices in substance use disorder treatment to enhance care delivery. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n This role will primarily focus on patients battling substance use disorders, requiring a nuanced understanding of addiction and recovery dynamics. You will engage with a diverse client demographic, tailoring your approach to meet cultural, emotional, and social needs. Building rapport and trust with clients is essential in fostering their journey toward rehabilitation and overall well-being. Qualifications\n \n A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California. \n Substantial knowledge and understanding of substance use disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities. \n Proven experience in delivering therapeutic interventions, both individual and in group settings, specifically within the context of addiction rehabilitation. \n Exceptional communication skills, along with the ability to display empathy and maintain a non-judgmental demeanor. \n Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation and seamless communication. \n A commitment to professional ethics and the confidentiality of patient information. \n Ability to thrive in a collaborative setting, working effectively with a multidisciplinary team. \n Preferred Experience\n Ideal candidates will possess at least one year of relevant experience in behavioral health or counseling, particularly in settings focused on substance use disorders.
