Site Inspections & Audits: Perform routine inspections of construction sites, verifying proper PPE use, safety signage, and compliance with safety procedures. Reporting: Prepare and maintain safety performance reports for management, regulatory agencies, and contractor pre-qualification processes. Safety Culture Leadership: Promote open communication regarding safety concerns, reinforce positive safety behaviors, and lead by example in the field. Field Engagement: Work directly with craft workers and field crews to identify hazards, provide coaching, and correct unsafe behaviors. Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as needed to effectively manage the Civil Construction EHS Department. Requirements Degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred. Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or CHST are highly preferred. Minimum 10 years of field experience in environmental health and safety within heavy civil construction, including pipeline utilities, asphalt operations, mining sites, or highway construction. Strong understanding of OSHA , MSHA , FMCSA , and applicable state regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication for delivering training and reporting to leadership. Must report to the Northern Colorado office with reliable transportation. Employee will receive a vehicle allowance or be assigned a company vehicle for use during work hours. Must have experience managing an entire team.
