Managers, Technical Project Management
American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. seeks Managers, Technical Project Management to drive the development and delivery of technical products and solutions for our customers. Engage with product owners, business stakeholders, and delivery teams to understand business needs and identify solutions. Coordinate with business units to prioritize, plan, and execute development schedules in-line with product development initiatives and regulatory needs. Guide technical teams in the execution of project plans and track team velocity, financials, and other KPIs in relation to project plans and progress reports. Perform reviews of product backlogs and address delivery impediments or product quality issues. Maintain dependency plans between planned sprints across engineering, infrastructure, and third parties. Conduct daily stand-ups and retrospectives at the end of each sprint. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with technical delivery and IT project management. Experience must include 1 year of experience with each of the following: project management within the financial services industry; requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance; Agile, Scrum, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) project management, including monitoring project budgets, progress reporting, and ensuring compliance with SDLC protocols; software architecture, design, development, testing, and implementation; financial forecasting, analysis, and executive reporting to senior leadership; delivering industry leading solutions to market; technical solution analysis, design, and execution; implementation and execution of Agile practices for delivering technology solutions; Technical tools and methodologies, including: COBOL, CICS, ChangeMan, DB2, HTML, IMS DB/DC, J2EE, Java, JavaScript, JCL, Jira, Kanban, Open APIs, Rally, SOA concepts, Splunk, Waterfall, Web Services, and XML. Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.
