Casita Sales Consultant — Phoenix Metro (Phoenix)

Space Break Construction LLC | Phoenix, AZ | On-site / Field | 1099 Contractor About Space Break Space Break Construction is a licensed Arizona residential builder (ROC 348547) and Phoenix's specialist in casitas and accessory dwelling units. Our niche: the ADU builders turning unused lots into income, independence, and opportunity for families. We are a vertically integrated builder — in-house crews, in-house project management, our own warranty — with average casita contracts over $200,000. Demand is climbing and our build capacity is expanding to match. Our mission: Turning empty spaces into value, one family at a time. The Role We are hiring a Casita Sales Consultant to own the full sales cycle for new ADU projects across the Phoenix metro. This is a high-ticket, consultative residential sale — not a setter role, not a one-call close. You will meet with homeowners on their property, listen to what they actually want the casita to do for their family, scope it accurately with our design and operations team, and bring the contract home. Approximately 90% of your leads will be company-provided. You are not building a pipeline from cold dials — you are converting warm homeowner interest into signed contracts. You will report directly to Garin Jankowski, President of Sales. What You Will Do Run in-home and on-site consultations with homeowners interested in adding a casita, guest house, or ADU to their property Qualify lots — setbacks, utilities, access, HOA, zoning — well enough to flag deal-killers early Walk homeowners through our process, payment schedule, financing options, and timeline Translate homeowner goals into a clear scope our design and ops teams can build to Write and negotiate contracts using our fixed-price agreement and change order framework Maintain a clean, accurate pipeline in JobTread (we will train you on the system) Follow up. Most casita deals are not won on visit one. Coordinate handoff to project management cleanly so the customer experience does not break at the contract signing What You Bring Minimum 5 years of high-ticket residential sales — home improvement, solar, roofing, windows, pools, custom homes, remodels, or similar. Casita or ADU experience is a plus, not a requirement. A demonstrated track record of closing $100K residential contracts Comfort presenting numbers, payment schedules, and financing options without flinching The ability to read a lot — basic understanding of setbacks, easements, and what permitting looks like in Maricopa County (we will fill the gaps) Reliable transportation, clean driving record, valid Arizona driver's license Strong written and verbal communication. You will be putting things in writing that homeowners and our ops team rely on. Self-managed. You will have support, but no one is going to babysit your pipeline. What You Will Not Be Doing Cold-calling out of a call center Self-generating 90% of your own pipeline — we feed you warm leads Selling something you cannot deliver — our crews build what you sell Fighting the company for your commission. The math is the math. Compensation 1099 independent contractor for the first 6 months. After a successful 6-month probation, a W-2 offer with standard benefits is available. Commission structure: 3% on company-provided leads (~90% of your appointments) 5% on self-generated leads — you bring it in, you earn more on it At our $200,000 average contract, that is $6,000 per closed deal on company leads, $10,000 on self-generated leads Target performance: 5 closes per month. At target, expected earnings range $30,000 to $50,000 per month depending on lead mix. Core Values We hire to these. They are not wall art. Rooted in Family, Grounded in Loyalty Move with Purpose — Own the Problem Leave it Better than We Found It Curious Minds Build Creative Solutions Be Proud of the Work, Not the Credit How to Apply Send a resume and a short note — three to five sentences — telling us about the biggest residential sale you have ever closed and what made it close. Apply through LinkedIn or email [email protected]. Space Break Construction is an equal opportunity employer. Office: 4655 W McDowell Rd, Suite 110, Phoenix, AZ 85035

You will be on the phone. A lot. You’ll build relationships with freight carriers, negotiate rates, solve problems when a load goes sideways, and compete to be one of the best on the floor. And if you’re willing to put in the work, your earning potential is uncapped. What the Job Really Looks Like Your day starts with open loads, active shipments, and carrier relationships to manage. From there, it’s about making connections, moving freight, and getting results. Source capacity: Call freight carriers across North America to secure transportation for customer shipments. Negotiate: Work rates in real time and close deals, sometimes with only minutes to spare. Bring the energy: Make calls, hit daily activity goals, compete, learn, and continuously improve. Own your results: Your effort directly impacts your production and your paycheck. Who Thrives Here You don't need to be the most experienced person in the room. You need to be determined, competitive, resilient, and willing to work. You’ll probably thrive here if: A carrier falling through at 4 PM makes you want to find a solution—not go home. You’re competitive and want to know where you rank on the board. You can build trust with a stranger in the first 30 seconds of a call. You’re comfortable hearing “no” and making the next call anyway. You like having measurable goals and knowing exactly what success looks like. You’re not looking for an easy job. You’re looking for a job where your effort can take you somewhere. You want to work in person, surrounded by people who are motivated, competitive, and working toward the same goal. What You Can Earn Starting base salary: $50,000 uncapped commission. Your earning potential is directly tied to your production and results. As you build your carrier network and become more successful, your income grows with you. We're looking for people who bring: Experience in a fast-paced, phone-heavy sales or customer-facing environment. Comfort with rejection and the persistence to keep going. A track record of meeting or exceeding goals. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. A competitive mindset and desire to win. A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field is a plus, but not required. If you've succeeded in retail, hospitality, recruiting, inside sales, customer service, or another high-volume environment, you may have exactly the foundation we're looking for. We'll Teach You the Freight Business Nobody walks in on Day 1 knowing how to move freight. That's our job to teach you. You'll receive structured training, a defined ramp period, hands-on coaching, and support from people who have done this job themselves. You'll learn: How the freight market works. How to source and build carrier relationships. How to negotiate rates. How to use our BlueShip technology. How to manage shipments and solve problems. How to build a book of business that drives your earnings. Then we'll give you the tools and coaching. What you do with them is up to you. And if you're good at it, we notice. Top performers are recognized through programs like President's Club , and there are opportunities to grow into senior-level and leadership positions. Why We're In the Office This is an on-site position at our Chicago Loop location inside the Board of Trade Building. 141 W. Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL 60604 We are intentional about being together. The energy on the floor, the coaching from your leaders, the friendly competition, the quick questions, the celebrations when someone closes a big deal—it’s part of the experience. You won't be doing this alone. What You’ll Get Medical, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off Uncapped commission opportunity Access to company leadership, including CEO forums Mentorship and structured learning opportunities President's Club recognition Team events and community volunteer opportunities Employee resource groups Opportunities for career advancement Frequently Asked Questions: Do I need freight experience?
