Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor & Delivery Unit . This position involves providing exceptional nursing care to mothers, newborns, and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum care, and newborn care, with the ability to manage varying shifts and on-call requirements. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. Assist with childbirth, including labor assessments, monitoring, and delivery support. Offer postpartum care for mothers and newborns, ensuring both are well-supported during recovery. Act as a circulating nurse in the operating room for cesarean sections and other surgical procedures as necessary. Monitor and assess the health and well-being of mothers and babies, ensuring appropriate interventions are implemented. Manage patient care during the administration of magnesium drip or epidural. Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. Coordinate with the medical team to ensure the best patient outcomes. Be available for rotating shifts (days/evenings/nights), including 1 night of call per week and every other weekend (EOW). Adhere to safety protocols, hospital policies, and best practice standards. Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) License. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Circulating, and Newborn Care. BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certifications (renewed every 2 years). Ability to work rotating shifts, including day, evening, night shifts, and on-call responsibilities. Strong clinical skills in labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn assessment. Preferred Qualifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (preferred). Experience with EPIC EMR (Electronic Medical Records). Previous experience in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit. Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) and other advanced perinatal care courses. Education: High School Certification: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support , Basic Life Support
