Travel Nurse Job Details Position: ICU Registered Nurse Employment Type: Travel Nurse Job Specialty: Critical Care Float / ICU Location: Madison, WI 53792 Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Schedule: 3 shifts per week Weekly Hours: 36 Weekend Coverage: Required, with approximately 6-7 weekend shifts during the contract Orientation: 28 hours Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250 Start Date: 9/28/2026 ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in the specialty within the last 3 years Experience in multiple ICU settings required, such as Neuro ICU, CVICU, Burn ICU, Trauma ICU, MSICU, or Progressive/IMC settings Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required BLS and ACLS certification required NIHSS and TNCC preferred or required based on placement needs Epic charting experience required Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start Experience with trauma-level I patients required Ability to float as needed across critical care units Strong basic arrhythmia knowledge required Critical Care Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate care to adult and geriatric critical care patients Monitor and respond to complex patient conditions in a high-acuity ICU environment Care for patients requiring advanced interventions, monitoring, and frequent reassessment Support care in multiple units as needed, including Neuro ICU, CV/CT ICU, Burn ICU, Trauma ICU, and MSICU Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and support ventilated or hemodynamically unstable patients Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated, high-quality care Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols and safety standards Adapt quickly to changing patient needs while maintaining professionalism and teamwork Apply now for this Travel ICU Registered Nurse opportunity in Madison, WI, and join a team dedicated to high-quality critical care.
