Summary Job Description: The Clinical Dietitian works closely with the interdisciplinary health care team to provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy that are integrated and compatible with the patient''s medical program goals and objectives. Calls Physicians the day before cases are scheduled to verify sequence preferred. Completes charges for Anesthesia. Audits records for completion of correct nursing data. Assists with development of processes for conversion to computer system(s). Required Skills: Possess effective oral and written communication skills. Basic computer literacy and keyboarding skills required. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and works well under pressure. Ability to work in a fast pace environment Ability to use judgment in problem solving. Basic knowledge of services, procedures and equipment. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions. Familiar with physical anatomy and anatomical body parts preferred. Knowledge of clinical procedures, patient medical records and clinical documentation preferred.
