Position is 100% on-site Secret Clearance Is Required VSolvitis looking for a broadly talented Data Scientist with quantitative research skills to take an active role on our data analytics team. You will work on vast amounts of DEA data to discover hidden information by applying modern statistical and ML/AI techniques. The main scripting languages used on this program are Python and some 'R'. The databases are MS SQL Server and Elastic Search and are used against the enterprise data warehouses with Kibana, Tableau or other BI and Visualization tools. This is a mature team that is high profile and charged with delivering solutions in Data Sciences enabling maximum leverage of DEA master data. At a higher Level, this position is part of a team of developers and IT SME’s who support the DEA data warehouse project and the ability to recognize opportunities for the correlation of data is vital for this position. The need for strategic thinking, with the ability to easily spot gaps, ensure accuracy, and find differences in what should be the same values in data, and lags in data that will ultimately affect velocity and overall quality of the products, is highly desired. Your primary focus will be applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high-quality prediction systems integrated with DEA programs and DEA data (e.g. structured, unstructured, and mixed datasets). You will also design and develop automatic scoring using machine learning techniques, build recommendation systems, design, and develop classifiers for feature extraction. This program is one in which pushing boundaries and innovation within the scope of the program is valued. There is a fully supported effort to develop and further Power BI/ML/AI in the quest for 'making the data dance'. The Data Sciences group provides innovative algorithm development using various techniques to achieve desired insight or open eyes to new revealing results and possibilities. Position Responsibilities Perform hand finishing of milled spars, spar caps, skins, and small sheet metal parts to specified tolerances and finishes. Use a variety of tools, including files, scrapers, saws, abrasives, and power sanding machines, to remove machine marks and blemishes. Complete and fair machined contours and surfaces, forming specified radii and chamfers on edges. Check own work for conformance to specifications and ensure quality standards are met. Remove burrs and break edges on parts to enhance safety and finish quality. Handle and rack spar caps, parts, and materials efficiently within the work area. Use shop handling equipment as required to manage materials and parts safely. Assist higher classified employees in machining and finishing spar cap material and detailed parts. Review the work area to determine tasks and obtain job assignments from the Team Leader or lead. Read and interpret manufacturing plans and engineering drawings to understand the scope of work. Break sharp edges of parts prior to hydroform and stretch operations to prevent cracking. Use air-powered hand sanders to eliminate machining marks and surface irregularities. Clean surfaces using solvents or water, ensuring they are wiped dry before further processing. Utilize hand-held power tools with rotary files, abrasive wheels, and sanding discs to finish edges and contours.
