Paving MOT - Lead

Position Summary The MOT Lead is responsible for supervising and ensuring the proper set up and take down of all traffic control devices, as well as maintaining the setup for the duration of the job for all MOT personnel. Responsibilities: Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do. Supervise and ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all Middlesex Safety Policies and Procedures Present daily huddles, weekly Toolbox Talks and safety talks Develop and implement maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans in coordination with project managers. Set up and dismantle traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, signage, and temporary lane closures. Must be able to identify potential hazards and assist in maintaining a safe work environment for all Team Members Supervision of all MOT Team Members Ensure all MOT setups comply with local, state, and federal safety standards (e.g., MUTCD guidelines). Maintain a flexible work schedule to include day/night shift work with extended hours when necessary Ensure proper set up, maintenance and removal of all traffic controls Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a MOT supervisor MOT advanced certification Knowledge of FDOT and MUTCD standards Able to follow verbal instructions Necessary Attributes: Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles Team player and with strong interpersonal skills Self-starter with excellent verbal communication skills Reliance on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Dedicated and hard working Strong commitment to success of all Possess a strong work ethic Demonstrate the upmost professionalism in how you represent yourself Show quality in everything you do Lead with integrity while producing high quality work We offer our full-time and eligible part time team members a comprehensive benefits package that’s among the best in our industry. Position Summary: The Carpenter is responsible for constructing or assembling concrete forming systems, according to blueprints and specifications, for forming concrete structures. Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures, scaffolding and framework using hand and power tools. Understand and comply with all Company Safety policies and procedures, such as making certain that proper safety scaffolding and other equipment is in place while performing job duties. Secure and put away all tools, equipment, and materials at the end of each work day. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in bridge work. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints A minimum of 3 years of assembly/disassembly of heavy form systems. Knowledge in the use of concrete pumps, concrete placement/finishing, rebar installation a plus. Prior rigging knowledge is a plus. Experience with leveling tools such as laser levels and transits. Must have proper knowledge of using and maintaining any type of power equipment required to fulfill job description and possess the appropriate tools of the trade. Necessary Attributes: Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles. Team player with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a team in an efficient and effective manner. Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Reliance on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
