QA/QC Electrical Technician
QA/QC Electrical Technician Location: Tuscaloosa, AL Reports to: Quality & Process Manager Epsilon is seeking a QA/QC Electrical Technician to support quality verification of electrical systems within our modular manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for inspecting, testing, and documenting electrical installations to ensure compliance with project drawings, applicable codes, and Epsilon’s Quality Management System prior to shipment or energization. Key Responsibilities A. Perform inspection of electrical installations including conduit, terminations, grounding and bonding, labeling, and panel assemblies. B. Verify installations against one-line diagrams, schematics, bills of material, and project documentation. C. Perform and document electrical testing including insulation resistance (megger), continuity, phase rotation, torque verification, and functional control checks. D. Record inspection and test results following QMS procedures. E. Ensure all required inspections, redlines, and turnover documentation are complete prior to release. F. Identify, document, and control nonconformances in accordance with the Quality Management System. G. Coordinate with engineering, electrical assembly, and quality to resolve discrepancies. H. Maintain traceability of inspection and test records to project requirements and deliverables. Authority and Accountability A. This role has authority to hold or stop work where electrical installations do not meet requirements. B. No module is released without complete inspection, test documentation, and turnover package verification. C. Deviations must be formally documented, reviewed, and resolved prior to close-out. D. This position is responsible for final electrical quality verification prior to shipment. Qualifications A. 5 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience. B. Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams. C. Working knowledge of NEC and applicable electrical standards. D. Experience using electrical test equipment (megger, multimeter, phase rotation meters, etc.). E. Experience in modular construction, UL/CSA environments, or commissioning support preferred.
