Senior Workday Time Tracking & Absence Consultant BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Senior Workday Time Tracking & Absence Consultant - Remote Position Title: Senior Workday Time Tracking & Absence Consultant Location: Remote Anticipated Start Date: ASAP Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. Expected Duration: 3 Months with possibilities for extension Job Type: Contract: 40 hrs/week Pay Range: $75 to $80/hr on W2 Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Job Description: Responsibilities Responsibilities Lead discovery, design, and configuration for Workday Time Tracking & Absence modules. Design complex rule logic, including: Daily/weekly overtime rules Shift premiums and pay differentials Dynamic time-entry validations Union, hourly, and global workforce scenarios Multi-country accrual, carryover, and proration rules Translate business and regulatory policies (FLSA, provincial labour codes, EU directives) into precise Workday logic. Run client workshops and design sessions with HR, Payroll, Operations, and Compliance leaders. Lead testing cycles (unit, regression, UAT) and resolve configuration issues. Support Workday Payroll or 3rd-party payroll integrations. Provide post-production optimisation and advisory support to mature Workday customers. Mentor junior consultants and provide quality assurance across the team. What You Bring 8 years of hands-on Workday configuration experience in Time Tracking & Absence Management. 5 full lifecycle implementations leading Time & Absence workstreams. Expertise in designing: Time calculations, calculation groups, and period schedules Absence plans, accruals, time off types, and eligibility rules Work schedules, time entry codes, and validation logic Strong understanding of payroll dependencies (retro, costing, valuation logic). Excellent communication, client leadership, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently with senior stakeholders and drive decisions. Preferred Qualification Workday Certification in Time Tracking or Absence Management. Experience with global or unionised workforces. Knowledge of Workday Reporting, BIRT, or Prism for analytics. Proven experience implementing Workday configurations for clients of varying complexity. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
