Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

About the Position: Join three experienced physicians and one advanced practice provider in a busy OB/GYN clinic. With a shared call schedule of 1:4 (call is optional), our team averages 650-700 deliveries each year. Your work will directly improve access to care for a medically underserved community. Perform professional medical services in the examination, diagnosis, care, and treatment of patients within the parameters of experience and professional training. Provide appropriate patient instruction and/or consultation with family or significant other, as needed. Record examination, diagnosis, and treatment notes that meet record documentation requirements. Provide clearly written orders and be available to nursing staff for direction, support, and clarification of the medical plan of care. For patients whose medical needs are beyond our scope of services, make patient referrals to appropriate specialty services, such as diagnostic services, social services, and consultative services, as arranged in protocols; consult with the clinic manager regarding available specialty services. Attend Medical Staff Meetings as designated. Comply with all regulatory, organizational, and departmental statutes, policies, and procedures. Review and revise clinic policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure medical appropriateness and regulatory compliance. Work in collaboration with referring providers and other specialists to promote optimal multi-specialty care and service continuity. This is an inpatient opportunity, caring for stroke and general neurology patients at our Time Sensitive Emergency Level 1 (Comprehensive) Stroke Center, in Boise. The Saint Alphonsus Neuroscience Institute promotes collaboration with a team of neurosurgeons, neurologists and vascular neurologists, neuroradiologists, neuropathologists, neuro-otolaryngologists, physiatrists, a neuro-ophthalmologist and oncologists. Boise is a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Nampa is a Primary Stroke designation as well. Our Boise facility has Fellowship trained NCC all MD run Neurosciences unit with 18 Neuro/Trauma ICU beds and 17 Neuro step-down beds. The NCC ICU model is NCC Attending service and the NH is a consult service for acute care and the NH leads all brain attack activations while on service. Our telestroke hub and spoke model includes 6 SAHS EDs and 6 independent regional service area hospitals. Support Services: Well-established neurology outpatient clinic and inpatient neurology program located in Boise, with employed NIR MD partners for interventions, stroke coordinators, and robust elective interventional neuroradiology services that includes biplane angiography, MRI/ MRA, CT/CTA, CT perfusion, 4-vessel angiography, and interventional stroke, fistula, ICAD, and aneurysm procedures. Requirements : Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree; Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency-training program in Neurology; Fellowship in Neurohospitalist Stroke, Neurovascular or other a plus; Board certified or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment; Obtain Idaho medical licensure, OR telehealth license, and granting of privileges at Saint Alphonsus and affiliated hospitals as needed.
