Sonographer OB/GYN Specialist

Location: WISH: 4th FLR BLK 100 This fulltime position is in the Women's and Infant's Specialty Health (WISH) Clinic on the campus of main Parkland Hospital. The WISH Clinic provides Ultrasound services in Parkland's high risk OB/GYN outpatient clinic, in the specialty OB emergency department in the main hospital and in the antepartum unit in the main hospital. Most schedules are four 10 hour shifts, weekly, starting between 6:45 to 7:30 am. Primary Purpose Operates ultrasound equipment to produce basic diagnostic scans of high quality while ensuring optimal patient care. Minimum Specifications Education • Graduate from an accredited sonography program. Experience • For sonographers working in Ultrasound or Mammography, one year of experience in specialty is preferred. All experience levels will be considered. Completes other computerized data entry and charging tasks with correct data to ensure the accuracy of patient records and charges. May access and handle selected medications and contrast media within scope of practice and with supervision and guidance of a Sr. sonographer and/or provider. This position provides flexibility to travel the country and work in various settings. On assignment the Occupational Therapist organizes and conducts occupational therapy programs for the location to facilitate rehabilitation.
