Summary: Design and detailing of air cooled heat exchangers involving mechanical design and fabrication details by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Check drawings of other Detail Drafters. Train Detail Drafters regarding API 661, OSHA, Quality Work Instructions, detail software, detail processes and templates, and Kelvion manufacturing standards. Provide on-going on-the-job training to facilitate continuous performance improvement. Monitor and facilitate Detail Drafter performance to maximize productivity, efficiency, and issue detail drawings on time. Ensure detail schedule completion dates are met. Implement process improvements to improve detail efficiency, quality, and lower product cost. Keep Engineering Director informed of systemic changes, job schedules and issues, and other department issues. Detail air-cooled heat exchangers for shop fabrication as required to meet customer demands. Communicate with mechanical design engineers and shop personnel. Ensures that the exact number and type of product are loaded and shipped Performs picking duties in an efficient manner meeting customer service standards Moves product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods Maintains appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and security Assists in physical inventories Ensures proper stock rotation Conducts cycle counts as requested Excel knowledge and general computer knowledge are a plus Requirements; Minimum 1-year sit-down forklift experience Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
